Has hectic class schedules and long study hours left you totally exhausted? Are you sitting and wondering what to do in your spare time? You desperately need a break, but a break, which doesn't take you away from your schedule and instead increases your exam preparation. Well, first of all, it is extremely important that you take breaks between long hours of study, as they will help your brain process the information that you bombard it with on a daily basis. Today we want to write about something other than studies, something that you have all been wondering and thinking about since you started your preparation. We're sure you've always wanted to know the creative things you can do during your downtime. We have written this especially for you and will provide you with a list of creative things to do during your free time that will not misalign you with your preparation.

The Following are the list of Top Creative things:

  • Music
  • News Paper
  • Sports/Walk
  • Hobby
  • Novels
  • Friends/Family
  • Movie
  • Meditate
  • Nap
  • Social Work
While a break is always necessary, here we will discuss the creative things you can do on your breaks:

Music: Where words fail, music speaks. So when you feel bored and need an instant dose of energy to get rid of your mundane life. Grab your headphones and play your favorite music. If you love to dance, play your favorite song and you will see the results instantly. Music can improve your mood. Music of all genres has its own meaning. If you want to feel happy, you can listen to happy songs and this also works the other way around. Music also helps your imagination flow freely, which is good for both your creativity and your health. An added benefit is that music helps you remember things faster, so it will boost your memory as well.

News Paper: You should be in the habit of reading at least one newspaper a day, not because adults say so, but because it makes you a conscientious person. While taking a break, you can read the newspaper. This will make you aware of what is happening in the world, which in turn will also help you in your GS article and also in the interview. During the interview, you will find yourself as a conscientious citizen who knows new avenues in science, politics, geography, sports and economics. Reading the newspaper is also a very productive activity that everyone, whether they are preparing for the test or not, should read.

Sports/Walk: Sports are the greatest physical poetry, therefore, you must learn a sport and take the time to practice it. If you can't make time every day, maybe twice a week is fine too. Besides a fun break, playing any sport will help you control your weight, improve your blood circulation, and sharpen your brain. Not playing games and just studying bores you, so make sure that if you're not playing or running, you should at least go for a walk either in the morning or at night. It will provide you with much-needed rest, as well as rejuvenate your mind and mood. It will also keep you fit and healthy and despite the long hours of study, you will remain as healthy as a horse. During this short walk, you can also make plans for your studies or you can introspect your daily goals; This will help you optimize your studies in a better way.

Hobby: Before we started our preparation for the exam, we all had that one thing we did that gave us immense joy; It can be writing, painting, dancing, traveling, or whatever we used to say was our hobby. Just for your exam, don't let your happiness take a backseat. Whenever you have time, go back to your hobby. If you like to write, just take a piece of paper and write about what is going on in your life and how you feel. Suppressing yourself will flush you of all mental baggage and clear your mind of all tension. If you like to travel, instead of visiting new places you can visit museums, tombs or any other historical place in your city. This would not even make you feel guilty and it would also improve your mood. In 2-3 months, if you feel that your studies are on the right track, you can always take a weekend off and visit and explore a nearby city.

Novels: Whenever you read about a successful man, the only thing in common in all of them is their habit and passion for reading. Well, instill the habit of reading, whether you read fiction or non-fiction, it does not matter, reading increases your thinking capacity and you will soon notice the change in yourself. During your preparation, you can try reading biographies of successful people like Benjamin Franklin, Anne Fran, APJ Abdul Kalam or non-fiction books like Discovery of India, India after Gandhi, which will help you get to know your country and world history, in turn. , helping you with your GS. One tip would be not to start with heavy books, novels, as that would involve you so much that you could end up reading novels all day and picking up your study books during free time.

Friends/Family: If you are away from home, during test preparation you tend to stay away from your old friends and don't have enough time to talk to your parents. So picking up the phone and calling old friends can help you relive the good fun times you had spent with them and revitalize you with a whole new energy. If you stay home, once on the blue moon, you can plan a dinner with your family and have a good time talking and chatting with them. Research has shown that spending time with friends and family makes a big difference when it comes to happiness. While money can't buy you happiness, spending time with family and friends is always a good investment.

Movie: As engineering graduates, we've all seen a lot of movies in college, we've stayed in college to see the first day's show, but this GATE / ESE prep tends to take this away from us. Well, that's not entirely true. Maybe not as often, but once a month you can take time to watch a good movie, change your surroundings, laugh a lot, and enjoy your time. But make sure you have bought this time. Set yourself monthly goals and when you've finished them, treat yourself, go out with your friends, and watch a good movie.

Meditate: The goal of meditation is not to control our thoughts, but to stop letting them control you. Every morning, before starting your daily tasks, sit down for a brief period of 10 minutes and meditate. During exam preparation, it is extremely necessary that we do not let any strange or unwanted thoughts control us, therefore whenever you need a break from studies, just close your eyes and meditate. If you can do it on your own that's good, but if not, there are apps like Insight timer, headspace, and many more to help you out.

Nap: During this preparation, many students sacrifice their dream to study. You must remember that sleep is in itself a rejuvenating exercise that your body requires on a daily basis. Skipping sleep may buy time now, but in the long run it will cost you a lot. Therefore, if you are bored and tired, go back to bed and take a nap. A 10-15 minute power nap always helps during prep, revitalizing you and getting you back in shape just as enthusiastically.

Social Work: There is nothing in the world that gives you more happiness than seeing a smile on someone's face. So whenever you have time, find an NGO or nursing home and hang out with them. If you can, grab something for them and give them a smile by spending your time on them. "We make a living with what we get, but we make a living with what we give." So for all aspiring government officials, it is necessary that they begin their work from now on and only then will they be able to better serve the nation later on.

So these are the top creative things you can do whenever you are bored. Depending on your choice.
